The 11th EST Congress: The Changing Faces of Translation and Interpreting (Studies) will take place in Leeds, United Kingdom, from 30 June to 4 July 2025.

The ICTIC 5 conference will take place from 2-4 June in Kristiansand, Norway.
The theme for the fifth iteration of the ICTIC conference is Translation and Cognition on the ground. What is now recognized as legitimate empirical phenomena within the field of Translation and Interpreting Studies is a much broader and more inclusive category than was the case just a couple of decades ago. The remit of the field is expanding to encompass multiple new forms of mediated communication in a range of new scenarios.
A call for papers for the conference “ELF Communication Today: Acceptability and Accessibility in Focus” that will be held on 4 and 5 December 2024 at the University of Salerno, Italy.

The MITS Public Online Seminar, taking place on October 5th from 9:45 AM to 13:00 PM, will focus on deaf persons in conflict zones and humanitarian crises, with particular emphasis on the role of sign language interpreters in these contexts.
Two expert speakers, Peninnah Vulimu and Herbert Klein, will present their fieldwork experiences.

This special training is for signers to learn more about International Sign (IS). During the two days you are introduced to the basics of International Sign, some theory as well as practice. The training is for those signers who already know a national sign language, but want to practice and learn more about IS.

Deafblind International (DbI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Kenya and other partners is organizing the 1st DbI Africa Conference which will be held at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) in Nairobi, Kenya from Thursday12th to Saturday 14th May 2022.
The conference theme is: “Deafblind Reality in Africa: Meeting the Sustainable Development Goals – Opportunities and Challenges”.
Moscow State Linguistic University, with the support of the Moscow branch of the all-Russian society of the deaf (VOG) and Roo associations of sign language interpreters (RASLI) , are organizing an international scientific conference: 16 & 17 December 2021.

The APTIS (the Association of Programmes in Translation and Interpreting Studies, UK and Ireland) 3rd Annual Conference is hosted by the Dublin City University on 19-20 November 2021. The title of the conference is 'Evolving Profiles: The Future of Translation and Interpreting Training'. APTIS invites proposals for 20-minute papers, 90-minute hands-on workshops and 2-hour panels for its 3rd Annual Conference. The deadline for sending proposals is 22 April 2021.
The CIT conference will take place in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA from 19 - 22 September 2021.
Topic: Ethics and professional codes of practice for translators and interpreters: new contexts in the profession and training. The 2021 conference of the European Forum of Sign Language Interpreters (efsli) will take place in Cluj, Romania. This conference was originally planned to take place in 2020.
The fourth Lesico International Conference will be held in Warsaw on 3 - 5 September 2021 (originally scheduled for 2020). The Conference is, in its entirety, about teaching sign language as L1 and L2. It is a place to share experience and research, taken from everyday work of those who teach sign language, and also European and international associations that bring such teachers together. The conference is, in every way, a perfect, spot for Deaf sign language researchers.

In December 2020 (originally planned for June 2020), ISIT will host the next CIUTI conference’s edition on our campus. Four days debating and thinking of AI and intercultural intelligence: experts from all over the world will present their work.
The focus of this year’s conference is on the challenges and opportunities opening up in this evolving T&I landscape, specifically during this time of insecurity and rapid change experienced by the profession in the past months.
